Minutes of monthly meeting 3/18/08

The meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m. at 10 Valdez.

Account balances provided in report from co-treasurer, Grant Edelstone as follows:
4 Mo CD: $22,840.46
9 Mo Risk Free CD: $11,661.06
Maximizer: $1,097.88
WPA checking: $677.84
Total: $36,277.24

$251 has come in so far.  

Committee Reports:

Newsletter:  Nanette Asimov
It is all done and in Erica’s hands.  She will let Nanette know if we need to buy the extra stamps for possible insert – depending on if we need the insert or not.

Common Area Maintenance:  Greg Clinton
A couple of downed tree limbs on Miramar.  Don’t know the reason. Possibly truck doing the damage.  Authorized Baltazar to fix the issue.  Unless we see someone do the actual damage we can’t call the cops.   Will ask Anita to talk to Davey Tree Service about this issue.
Baltazar is finishing up the last green.

Planning and Zoning:  Anita Theoharis

Old Business:
Barbagelata real estate marketing – Anita & Geoff
Letter was sent out and don’t know any results as of yet.

West of Twin Peaks – Greg
Letter of resignation to West of Twin Peaks went out.
  
Attorney retainer – Greg
Nothing to report.


New Business:
Planning Dept. DR meeting prep – Anita/Greg
Anita sent out a plan for preparation.  Everybody got some tasks.  

Faxon Green parking – Greg  
The result is removing the parking along the southern side of green, painting corners red zone, “V”zone parking on the Southwood side of the island.  The Faxon side of that island is not covered under current existing “V” legislation.  MTSA are willing to extend the “V” area to include his 600 block of Faxon upon receipt of a signed petition from residents. 
Motion to pass this compromised plan.

Kathy Beitiks – Julie
Award coming up for annual preservation design award.  $190 to enter.
