Westwood Park Association Minutes of monthly meeting 7/17/07 The meeting was called to order at 7:12 p.m. at 1448 Plymouth. Roll Call: Present: Greg Clinton, Anita Theoharis, Julie Hagelshaw, Nanette Asimov, Grant Edelstone, Anne Chen, Geoff Williams Absent: Asa Williams Community members: Hugh Byrne Approval of Minutes of May 24 Moved by Anne Seconded by Geoff Passed unanimously. Co-Treasurer's Reports: Account balances provided in report from co- treasurer, Grant Edelstone as follows: Donations up to $2254 Nothing spent from reserves 6 Mo cd: $30,253 Maximizer: $44,223.71 WPA Checking: $2900.12 Total: $77,377.12 See attached balance sheet Dues and Liens: Julie Hagelshaw $953.20 was collected 18 notices went out June 25th-they have a month to pay 3 declined to pay and will be subject to liens 3 called to say they will pay 1 paid most of their balance 1428 Plymouth will be doing a reverse mortgage- owes $1400 Total 53,247.70 collected this year (includes windfall) Committee Reports: Newsletter: Nanette Asimov Next issue Ð beginning of Sept 8th or so. Nanette reported the articles in the next issue. Nanette to write Plant theft article and vandalism and please report to police article. Perks of the Park: Anita will write an Article on no vertical additions- emphatically stating they shouldn't be pursued and mention the need to change the CC&R's to reflect this Greg's president's letter-no paving front yards-no adjusting setbacks and no parking in front yards. Common Area Maintenance: Greg Clinton 27 people (volunteers) attended the Plymouth green makeover. Pictures taken. Miramar at Southwood-red zone no parking put in -17 feet- so people will not drive on the median-plantings. Miramar medians - brown areas are on medians that have not been upgraded-as money permits the older greens will be upgraded to correct this. 3-4 medians should be upgraded this year. 7 trees will be replaced. New oak to go into Faxon green. Oak to be planted at lower Plymouth green. Planning and Zoning: Anita Theoharis 111 Colon Ð Dean Macris-see insert email from Anita. See attached Old Business: Setback parking Ð Anne Will talk to Bob Stark and get some guidelines drawn up. 1262 Plymouth-Anne will check on 150 Eastwood- Anne will give second notice of violation for paving the front yard. Welcome package Ð Geoff for Asa Asa has all of it-new welcome letter-latest news letter- copy of good numbers-cd with Westwood Park history-add "enclosed is copy of your CC&R's-design guidelines and a map of Westwood Park. Geoff and Asa will deliver the package and notify the rest of the Board about who has moved in-and where. . Annual Meeting Date Ð Greg/Anita September 29th -Saturday. Painting the gates Ð Geoff Will pick a painter from existing bids. Try to get it done before next WPA meeting. New Business: Anita-We should write a press release writing that we are the "little engine that could"-we are building community. Ask Danny-the webmaster for WPA website-about options for keeping distasteful 'links' or advertisements off of the website. Maybe outside groups can contact board members before getting on our site.
