The Building of Westwood Park DVD
The Association recently acquired 12 minutes of silent, historic newsreel footage of the building of Westwood Park. This footage was shot around 1916-1917, and shows construction of some of the homes in Westwood Park, along with street scenes, early residents, etc. The footage was graciously provided to the Association by Woody LaBounty of The Western Neighborhoods Project
We had the footage transferred to DVD, and are now making copies available for $10 (this charge covers only our costs). If you would like to purchase a copy, please contact board@westwoodpark.com.
We are also making freely available a 90-second clip of the footage, which you can view by clicking below. Viewing the video clip requires high-speed access like DSL or Cable Modem.
